Summer is officially over however in Dallas it may be a short while until we feel it. I’ve been working on a capsule collection while donating clothes that don’t fit anymore.
Sweater dresses are very versatile and can be styled up or down. For work pair your dress with tights, high heel ankle boots and adding a necklace along with a purse allows you to be within dress code and not dragging attention to yourself in the office. For the weekend pair with tights or no tights, high knee boots with a cross body bag.
Legging can be pants, I noticed some brands have versatile work leggings; they are called “Ponte” pants and are comfortable than slacks. Target new line A New Day has a great pair under $25 and has a hidden zipper down the side. Ponte pants can be styled with blouses and shirts (pictured below) however when styling traditional leggings, pairing it with an oversized sweater and booties or riding boots is very chic and your within dress code.
Pencil skirts can be worn any season and can be part of a capsule collection. When I started losing weight I wanted to buy pieces I needed including a white button down shirt, dark skinny jean, dark boot cut jean, a blazer, black dress and a pair of kitten heels to make sure I had clothing for work and play. I still have pieces I wanted to keep as the day to truly celebrate is when I reach my personal goal during my weight loss journey.
