Shopping Smart for Gifts

This holiday season doesn’t mean you have to break the bank to buy Christmas gifts there’s so many ways to save money on gifts.

Over the years I have signed up for email alerts for stores such as American Eagle,Nordstrom Rack,The Gap, Nike,Ulta and Sephora to name a few I also signed up for each store points system if offered. Each store that offers points are always a little bit different from another however the outcome is almost the same as each time you spend, you save money as they send you exclusive coupons and this holiday season it comes in handy.

I can’t get into too much detail of what I purchased but I will say I got an email alert for a awesome deal at Target and saved $20 on my gift purchase. The idea with a lot of stores is the more you come in to spend money with them the more they entice you to come back; for example I don’t always shop at Old Navy but I was in need of a pair of leggings and I checked my email before driving to the mall and I had a coupon for 20% off everything in store with the added note of no exclusions.During check out,I got another coupon in my hand to come back before Christmas Eve for 50% off one item,In my mind that can be used towards a gift for someone.

Even though we’re close to the 25th don’tfret the savings are still there apps like Ebates are perfect,Check them out you’ll be surprised how much cashback you can get for purchases from the mall or even online shopping. There’s also outlet mall deals going on,don’t break the bank just because it’s the holiday season “It’s the thought that counts” right. If you’re in a crunch for time remember malls have extended hours meaning they are open earlier than normal and they’ll be open later than normal so if you get off work at 8 pm or even 9 pm the mall will be open just in time for you to pick up that last minute gift for your loved one and don’t feel bad if you need to price compare on your phone. I do this sometimes, if I find something such as a Michael by Michael Kors wallet,I can buy his brand at Macy’s or Dillard’s and The MK Outlet and if I find it somewhere cheaper that’s where I’m going to go first so always keep in mind to have your phone charged and ready to price compare for the best savings.

I hope this blog post was helpful for you during the holiday season rush and remember sometimes if you can’t figure out what to get someone don’t be afraid of getting a gift card as that gives them an opportunity to get with they want with the added benefit of no stress on your end.
