Healthy Lifestyle Changes Follow-Up

When I wanted to make a change,I noticed making a lifestyle change wasn’t easy.I was losing weight then I gained it right back slowly and I can always tell when I gained weight because the way my jeans fit.

Now I’m not a doctor but I decided to go on the ketogenic diet if you’ve heard about this diet you’ll know that there’s a lot of people who are against this diet I assume because they don’t understand how can “fats” be good for us. I will add this is what worked for myself and I’m not saying everyone reading this should do this plan.

When I took a new position this year,I knew following the keto plan was going to be a little tough for me and I incorporate keto meals along with low-carb/practical meals and of course like everybody else I have a cheat meal which would be on a date night with my husband or out with my girlfriends I’ll try to stay within reason of my food choice.

My breakfast would be avocado,eggs and bacon or greek yogurt with berries and banana slices.My favorite dinner that is keto but I still enjoy is the Chicken Enchilada Bowl, I never been a fan of cauliflower but the chicken and added ingredients helps and you can do the same recipe with ground turkey.Another favorite is Buffalo chicken wings and a side of celery plus there’s so many low-carb lunch and dinner options that are guilt free and healthy.

My close friends and family knows my biggest weakness is pizza.I grew up in New York I remember going down the road to one of best pizzerias in Queens, New York. I don’t believe anyone should deprive themselves and you could squeeze a bad meal in by balancing your day.

Let’s say you and co-workers want to grab lunch at a local restaurant and you just don’t want to be the only person on the table eating a salad,You can eat a cheat meal but be sure to NOT eat a cheat meal for dinner.Tip:This can start a bad trend if you do this everyday,My suggestion is to meal prep for a week of healthy foods.To meal prep make sure you know what foods you want to eat for the week and make a shopping list.

A few months ago, I had blood work done that showed inflammatory markers and my doctor sent me to see a Rheumatologist.Without getting into too much detail,It has been my biggest motivator to continue to live a healthy lifestyle. When you start a journey like weight loss,you should know why you are wanting to change your lifestyle and do it for yourself.

  No matter what life puts your way don’t ever give up and find what motivates you.As of Today,I lost 65 pounds and so close to my goal.
