Republica Dominicana is the true country name of what we know as Dominican Republic.
My family are natives and moved to New York for a better life.It was nice seeing locals that looked like me, back in High School ;it was a struggle for classmates to understand that Spanish full name that I was not just African American but Afro-Latina.
My husband and I decided let this be the year to not go out and spend money on drinks and a table for NYE 2019 but to go overseas. Honestly this trip was a need, so many things were left unsaid in Texas.I wanted us to come together and get out of the lack of passion and figure out where do we go from here.He loves and encourages my business and I encourage his, while two very different industries, the ladder being real estate investing.I had a vision to see more projects in a year, build a small team and more.He wanted to see me style more.We both pushed each other.
Staying at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort was breathe taking,The room was romantic, from the patio to the bed with sheer curtains,Allowing us to leave the patio open and nap when we were tried.I will say sadly with someone with a food allergy food options were almost hard to find,My husband was able to speak to the hotel in the best way possible as Spanish is the first language and I embarrassed to speak to them about American type food options. They had a sports bar that was a spot almost every night excluding the night I spoke on what my needs were as that was the topic in Texas and finding out a few things, but we won’t go into detail on that.
I always encourge friends to travel to learn new cultures part from our own. This trip taught me more about my culture and that I really should speak more spanish and not just spanglish!
In short my trip was amazing,I’m back to work and my calender is open for clients looking to upgrade there style.
